It is nice to say that lately things have been pretty quiet around here. This is not to say that we don't have a to do list that is a mile long, we have just chosen to take a little time off from it. Of course, the fact that it is all stuff that needs to be done outside and that it has been close to or over 100 degrees for the last 2 weeks has nothing to do with it :)
Instead of slaving outside we have been relaxing inside enjoying the time with each other. Ethan, as usual, provides some great photo moments that are just too good to pass up.

Mother Nature has also been providing opportunities for photos too with all the fledgling birds that have taken a huge liking to our yard this year. Not an evening goes by that we don't get some sort of show. The evening I took these we had a dozen or so of 3 different birds.

In other news I am preparing to start the MSW program in a few weeks and starting to get very excited for it... not so excited about all the work or the regular trips to Redding... but very excited about what completing the program will mean for my professional goals and better supporting my family. Even more exciting than that... at least for the 3 of us... After 2 years of working swing shift Sean will finally be going back to a day shift... even though it is only temporary (going at least through the end of Nov and has the potential to be permanent) and it means Sean will be working 5 days a week instead of 4... we'll actually get to have evenings together again. It will really be a novelty to see each other more than just a couple days a week!!
