This year we opted to have a second party for Ethan in Portland as it would be easier for the three of us to travel there than it was for all the family to travel here. Of course, this means more fun, more cake, more presents, and bunches more pictures. We are so grateful to Sean's parents who graciously hosted the big event which allowed us to have my parents and grandmother, all of Sean's siblings and their families, and a few friends. It was great fun to have everyone together.
Ethan was amazingly clean with his cake, not a drop on the floor... Sean's sister, Erika, on the other hand didn't fair so well :)

Ethan received tons of very cool toys. Most everyone did a wonderful job of restraining themselves and getting him relatively safe and quiet toys except for my parents who decided the golf club set was a great idea... The cats are going to really love this. Good thing we're redoing the backyard over the next couple of weeks. Just a couple shots of some of his goodies...
Must find a good place for this... we may have more fun with it then he will :)
Awesome train set!!
Look... tissue paper!! Actually this bag contained lots of cars... but his reaction to the tissue paper was fun.
Did I mention the golf clubs? Thankfully he hasn't hurt anything yet (although he did hit my mom in the head with one... giggle giggle... good thing they are plastic)... now to keep the balls away from the cats :)
And his flash light... which is a horse that lights up and makes horsey noises when you squeeze it's tail... and thanks to my brother in law I will have this great image in my head "now you'll have to watch him the first time you take him to the petting zoo..." thanks Jerry, that'll keep me up at night :)
