Last night I picked the first real "crop" from our garden. A large handful of snap peas (for tomorrows asian beef dinner) and, much to Ethan's delight, a bowl of strawberries. There are still several sweet peas ready to be picked (which will inevitably be part of dinner later in the week). the herbs are growing well, the first seeding of carrots are up (and impatiently waiting for the second to sprout), and even a few tomatoes on the vine. It's so exciting to watch everything grow and equally amazing how much comes from my little space. Just imagine how it will be next year with space in the planter boxes around the flowers. This really is becoming a rather addictive activity.
I've never tried to grow Asparagus before

Soooo jealous!!! Our seeds are just starting to sprout!! But I have hope that this summer will be better than last year, when we only had three or four days of sun through the entire three months!
